THOMAS PRIOR
HALL
‘A renowned Victorian landmark’
Thomas Prior Hall is one of the city’s most unique and special venues. The 19th-century dining hall is adjoined to Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge, offering both an event space and accommodation.
Studio dsq worked with Dalata Group on the upgrade & refurbishment of interior of this stunning property: from the tiled entrance hall to the stone carvings, the famous red-bricked building is adorned with delightful elements of its previous owners. The building was first opened as an orphanage and girls’ school by the Free Masons in 1882. It became such a success and was seen as a great example of architecture that even Queen Victoria’s interest was piqued. The queen and her daughter Princess Beatrice came to visit the school in 1890.
Just like the Queen’s welcome, Thomas Prior Hall offers an experience fit for royalty.
